Himeji Castle (姫路城, Himeji-jō)is the finest surviving example of early 17th-century Japanese castle architecture. Himeji Castle is also known as the White Heron Castle and is both a Japanese National Treasure and a World Heritage site. It is located in Himeji, Hyōgo Prefecture of Japan.
