BMX FLATLAND RIDER Mostafa Karam
I always find myself drawn to people doing things far away from the norm and that's how I landed myself in this pretty mess with Mostafa Karam a 17 year old BMX FLATLAND RIDER.
Taking pictures wasn't enough for, (http://www.thementalyst.net/mostafa-k... ) me so I decided to challenge myself and shoot a video. Using my basic 101 video skills, I drafted down how the story would go and set a date. Surprise surprise, everything changed on the day of the shoot.
Let's start with how there was a huge language barrier, I simply couldn't communicate so the script went from awesome to useless. His Bike broke down. I was shooting blind. Well using the camera display screen when moving around.. Yadda yadda yadda....... I mean things couldn't get any worse. At this point I was almost giving up but again we had few more days left in Egypt and he had to travel to Alexandria. My only option was to do with what I have.
Bright side I had an amazing moment and learned new things. Cheers to more challenges.
