blink-182 Live Independent Days Festival 2000
On this day 22 years ago, blink-182 was playing at Independent Days in Bologna, Italy!🤘🏻👽🇮🇹

Mark, Tom & Travis take the stage just before 10:30pm: they attack with “Dumpweed”, followed by “Don’t Leave Me” & “What’s My Age Again?”.
The first bottles being to arrive on the stage, one of which hits Hoppus’ microphone shaft in full. DeLonge jokes, “We are not thirsty...”, but from the stage he talks about technical problems.
Soon the situation worsened: in addition to the bottles, glasses, various objects and finally stones were added. The trio still holds a few songs - among others, “Adam’s Song” & “All The Small Things” - before retiring backstage after just over twenty minutes of set.
At 11pm the lights are turned on and the police enter the scene: the show ended in the worst way. A handful of very young people in the front rows will finish the evening in the company of the paramedics present on site, because they were hit in the head by the stones thrown from the area of the audience farthest from the stage.
