Sketching and rendering a shoe (Colour blocking and volumetric shading)
Hi everyone!
Would like to share this video which shares techniques for creating depth and volume through simple highlights and shadows on a brown paper. I have broken down the video into several steps which I generally follow while sketching and trying to communicate volumes/materials. The purpose of such sketches are more to practise and learn techniques so as to implement them more effectively in a time clocked scenario such as a design workshop.
Mediums used pencils, White Posca, markers and fineliners.
