Last Drive features the trio Lapcat. After a conjoined clubtour, Kalabrese invited the four members of the indie-electronica band Lapcat into his studio. Mastermind Hans-Jakob Mühlentaler contributed the guitar hook. The relaxed house beat is Kalabrese's part. Cate Leuenberg and Kalabrese are telling the story of the last drive before separation. Cate finds the melancholia and drama, but stays focused and unpretentious.
Kala rounds it up with his typical style; makes Miles Davis und Lou Reed a part of it, whose cassette tape has been played in the car on the last drive. A lovely reminiscence to his heroes. The song persuades its listener through the constant drive and has its roots in 2017 as the oldest rumpelresult on the album.
