How to count dates in a year | Count dates based on the year
Learn how to count the number of dates in a specific year using sumproduct and year function.
Consider you have a customer database for the last 3 years. You are interested to find out how many purchases they have done and based on that you want to extend certain promo offers to them.
At the first level, pass in sumproduct function and input double negative sign in the formula,post this pass year function in the same formula and select the range. Along with this, select the cell where you have the year details and close the formula.
=sumproduct(--(year(range))=year in the cell
=sumproduct(--year($D$2:$D$14)=$E4
This will get the number of dates in a given year.
Just send it down you will have the dates for all the years listed.
