The Wizard of Oz on the Great Movie Ride Disney MGM Studios was the most stunning use of animatronics for the current time. It sadly no longer exists as it was replaced by Mickey and Minnie's Runaway Railway inside a recreation of the famous Hollywood landmark, Grauman's Chinese Theatre. This clip is the attractions climatic scene. After being whisked away via a strong tornado that would remove hats and even toupees, riders landed in Munchkinland, where they were welcomed by over 16 animatronic figures of tiny Munchkins hiding in windows, foliage, doorways, and even popping up from a manhole. The original A-100 Wicked Witch audio-animatronic character makes an appearance but is quickly dispelled as the attraction host driving the moving theater threatens her with suggesting to drop a house on her. The Munchkins return to lead everyone down the Yellow Brick Road where more animatronic figures of Dorothy, Scarecrow, Tin Man, Lion and Toto too appear, heading toward the Emerald City.
