Italian Agricultural Cleaver Manaresso Restoration - Italian Machete - New Leather Handle
Today I want to show you this conservative restoration. In Italian it is called Manaresso, it is a middle ground between a cleaver a machete, an agricultural cleaver used to cut branches. A feature is the leather handle, which I rebuilt with leather reused from old shoes. The blade has been mistreated over the years and rust has finished the job by corroding the iron and creating dark pitting, after cleaning the blade I used the rust converter to give it an extra protection over time.
I have tried to bring it back to its former glory with a rustic look
