It's been a few weeks since our last video on our West Hartford project, so we're out checking back in on the progress. The space is starting to come together, and between the 9ft ceilings and expanded floorplan, we're thinking the owner is going to love our final design!
On the first floor, we're connecting a new addition to the main house with french doors. This space is meant as a family room, and designing it as a bump-out off the first floor keeps it feeling centrally located, easy to reach, and not feeling "tacked on" like some additions can.
This is a great chance to get some ideas about how your remodel can go: This middle period can cause some headaches and tension, because it tends to be the least visibly transformed, and the most invasive out of any stage of an addition. Thankfully, we're moving along quick, and hoping to be finished up long before the wonderful owner gets tired of the construction!
This project is in West Hartford, Connecticut, and as always being managed by our star Project Manager Joe Gleason. His dedication keeps jobs like this rolling along, and keeps our eyes open for any issues or changes headed our way long before they turn into change orders.
Thanks for watching!
