The prison section is definitely my favorite part in this game. It’s immensely creepy and very fast paced, I really like the scale thing where you had to balance the scale to open up the next set of doors, and the fact that you could only have a little bit of light for only a few seconds in the main areas. The soundtrack was amazing and made me feel extremely on-edge.
The hotel part was great too, it reminded me a lot of of the Stanley hotel from the shinning since it’s such a large hotel, and yet you feel so alone because other than the monsters and the little girl, you’re all alone in this dark hotel.
Overall I give the Silent hill 2 remake a 9/10. LOVED the premise, the gameplay, the puzzles, and the soundtrack. The only thing that I genuinely didn’t like was a few odd choice of background music for serious scenes, other than that though, this is definitely my type of horror! I can’t wait for their future remakes!
