Change is happening. In our communities, among our leaders, in our cities. Streets once built only for cars are now opening up for people – to walk, run, ride... on buses and cycle paths.
On #WorldCleanAirDay, we celebrate clean air zones that are transforming transport worldwide, giving families more space to breathe, play, experience nature and connect.
Starting from Paris, over the last month over 20 C40 mayors passed the baton to each other, engaging their communities in a global marathon promoting the benefits of clean air and the beauty of green and thriving neighbourhoods.
From London to Bogotá, from Stockholm to Seattle, from Quito to Johannesburg and many more.
To the cities, fighting for clean air, and to the next ‘runners’ to come - thank you! This is just the beginning. #itsintheair
