Robbins was born in North Hollywood, California, on February 29, 1960, and was the oldest of three kids. He lost both of his parents when he was seven. His family on both sides is of Croatian heritage. After that, his mother had numerous more marriages, one of which was to Jim Robbins, a former semi-pro baseball player who had officially adopted Anthony when he was 12 years old. To secure the rights to establish the Los Angeles Football Club, a Major League Soccer franchise in Los Angeles, Robbins teamed up with a group of investors in 2014. Robbins also acquired Team Liquid, an eSports professional gaming company, in 2016 in collaboration with co-owners of the Washington Wizards and the Golden State Warriors, Peter Guber and Ted Leonsis.
In 1991, Robbins founded the Anthony Robbins Foundation intending to help the young, the homeless, the hungry, the elderly, and the imprisoned. He also donated the profits of his book, Money: Master the Game, along with an additional personal donation, through ‘FEEDING AMERICA’ to provide meals to people in need. Through his 1 Billion Meals Challenge partnership with Feeding America, he donated 870+ million meals in the last eight years and promised to provide a Billion meals by 2025.
"Breakthrough with Tony Robbins," a reality show that followed Robbins as he assisted the show's contestants in overcoming their issues, made its debut on NBC in July 2010. Due to the show's low viewership of 2.8 million, NBC canceled it after broadcasting only two of the six intended episodes. However, The OWN Network renewed the show for a second season in March 2012.
Robbins first met Rebecca Jenkins at a seminar and got married in 1984. Robbins adopted Jenkins' three children from her previous marriages. In 1998, they announced their separation. He had a child in 1984 with his ex-girlfriend Liz Acosta. Jairek Robbins, their son, is himself a personal empowerment trainer and coach. After that, In October 2001, Robbins married Bonnie Humphrey.
He followed a 12-year vegan diet before introducing fish to his menu. He consumed a lot of fish which led to mercury poisoning. However, he luckily tackled death. Now, his diet consists of fruits and veggies, with just a little amount of animal protein.
