Pujya Shri Vidyasagar Ji Maharaj, the great Acharya of Jainism who embodied the best traditions of the great Tirthankaras in his life, completed his earthly journey in Dongargarh-Rajnandgaon (Chhattisgarh). Pujya Shri Vidyasagar Ji Maharaj took Diksha in 1968. Since then, by continuously practicing truth, non-violence, Aparigraha, Achaurya, and Brahmacharya, he dedicated himself to the nationwide propagation of these Panch Mahavratas. Inspired by the spirit of public welfare, Pujya Acharya Shri Maharaj gave Diksha to hundreds of saints and Aryikas in his life and always inspired and blessed them for philanthropic works. During this life, he took many initiatives for the public welfare such as opening of Gaushalas, educational institutions, handloom centers and other initiatives across Bharat. With his blessings, many unprecedented works, that have brought radical changes in the life of workers who are working there, are successfully being run. His wish was that Bharat should stand up again with its noble teachings and ideals, and provide a new direction to the world in the present times. His entire life was completely dedicated to these ideals. He remained Tapasvi till his last breath. Millions of people are following his footsteps and ideals today. It is natural for everyone to feel sad after hearing about his Sadgati. Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh prays to Bhagwan that all of us continue to move forward on the path shown by him with more determination and dedication.
