First things first. I couldn’t be more grateful for all 100.000 of you, subscribing to my YouTube channel, which means that what I do is touching you in some way. 90% of all channels views are coming from non subscribers usually, so it’s quite of a milestone! Thank you from the bottom of my everything!
Now, regarding getting an award from YouTube for that milestone. I feel there is the false perception that YouTube is “chasing” us to hand us the award, or maybe in the video it seemed like I received it without wanting to. Actually every creator has to claim their award. So you ask for it. If you don’t, no one is gonna send it to you. And there is a procedure in which YouTube is checking manually if your channel is legit or not. Reaching the milestone doesn’t guarantee an award. So, I wanted the award. Just not for me.
This belongs to my parents. Not only because it was a milestone itself to raise someone who wanted to become an artist since he was 8 years old (you can imagine how stressful it is for parents born in the 50s-60s), but because all my parents know about what I do, is exclusively from YouTube. Since they are fans of the platform, I think it’s a nice gift and a “thank you” to them!
