Choosing a grinder belt. What is grit?
Ever since I built my own grinder (link to the instructions with drawings: • ГРИНДЕР своими руками: чертежи, размеры и ... ), viewers haven't stopped asking me what belt I use and—ATTENTION!—which grit is best. I try to explain that there's no definitive answer, but this question, in one form or another, regularly appears in the comments.
That's why I decided to make a short educational film on grinding. Of course, it's not intended for professionals, but for those just starting out in metalworking, although I think it would be interesting for those already familiar with metalworking.
I'll try to explain everything without academic jargon, in plain language. I hope the professionals will forgive me if I've oversimplified everything or replaced scientific terms with simple terms.
