Review: What do you need to open a bank account in the US?
I myself am a newcomer and don't yet have a Green Card. The documents I used to apply were:
1. SSN number
2. Copy of passport
3. Marriage certificate
P.S. My husband already has an account at the bank we use, so he can sponsor me, his wife, to open an online account.
