In this video I upgrade the Dell Vostro 3400's RAM from 4Gb of DDR3-10600 (1333Mhz) to 8Gb of DDR3-8500 (1066Mhz). Normally this would be a downgrade in speed, since the RAM speed is slower, but since the Core i5 in my laptop doesn't support 1333Mhz RAM, it wasn't taking advantage of the extra speed, and was actually being slowed down by the CAS Latency of the faster RAM.
