Scraping TikTok for academic research (student coaching)
As part of my class on Online Data Collection and Management (https://odcm.hannesdatta.com), I've recorded this session in which I'm coaching a team of students on building a web scraper for the website of TikTok. We make some significant steps towards obtaining data on a target user's related accounts. Tools used are Python/Jupyter Notebook, Selenium, and a combination of tag words/attributes to fetch elements from the site.
