Integrating Tourist Attractions and Micro-Hydro Power Plant Projects
Journey to Stin Waterfall, Tenguwe Village, Tandi Hamlet. A medium-scale microhydro power plant (PLTMH) project is also under construction at this location, which will be used to illuminate Tenguwe Village and the surrounding area. A microhydro power plant (PLTMH) previously existed, but it had long been damaged due to its generator being flooded in 2019. Therefore, the central government (LPSE Ministry of Energy and Mineral Resources) is currently developing the PLTMH through the 2024 budget.
The PLTMH development is expected to raise public awareness about forest conservation and proper water catchment management to ensure the continued availability of water as the primary source of electricity.
