High Level Political Forum 2024 - United Nations - Mafra Model (EN)
As part of the High-Level Political Forum on Sustainable Development, promoted by the United Nations, the Municipality of Mafra presented the main impacts and results already achieved with the "Mafra Model" of social, economic, and environmental sustainability at the conference titled “SDG Cities Lusophone Initiative - the Portuguese-Speaking Countries Example”.
This conference took place on July 9, 2024, at the United Nations headquarters in New York, and also included the participation of the municipalities of Loulé and Fundão, along with representatives from Angola, Brazil, Cape Verde, Guinea-Bissau, Equatorial Guinea, Mozambique, and Timor-Leste, as well as UN-Habitat of the United Nations and the National Association of Portuguese Municipalities (ANMP).
