LUMSDEN NZ RAILWAY HERITAGE
The Railway Heritage area in Lumsden, New Zealand, regularly attracts visitors and tourists. There is supported freedom camping available on site with good facilities. There are helpful descriptive panels which describe the history of Lumsden and its railway. The active Heritage Trust is busy collecting and restoring railway items from the past. Since I made this video, the Trust has recovered several abandoned carriages and waggons from farms and gullies. In time these wil also be displayed.
