One of the biggest trends in automotive functional safety is cost optimization in AUTOSAR. With the rise of complexity in automotive vehicles we also see an increase in the embedded development costs.
The goal of every project? To meet all Automotive Safety Integrity Level (ASIL) requirements while remaining competitive in the market and thus the cost of automotive embedded systems must be optimized.
I will show a solution of minimizing the development cost of a distributed automotive function while satisfying its reliability goal during design phase. The ASIL Decomposition Scheme according to ISO26262, Reliability Calculation Scheme and Minimizing Development Cost with Reliability Goal algorithms will be presented.
