CDP1802 microprocessor on the breadboard
I acquired this RCA 1802 microprocessor in the early '80's and built a minimal 8-bit computer similar to this. I wanted to see if I could once again recapture the sense of wonder that I had earlier experienced. I started the breadboarding process in mid-2021, and returned to it in fits and starts, without success. I finally got it running a few days ago (February 2022), and I have to say that while I'm satisfied with the experience, my memories of amazement exceeded may recent encounter: "So, it can make an LED flash on and off?..."
