European Union's Horizon project Weather Generator
We’re excited to share insights from our CTO, Güven Bölükbaşı, about Buluttan’s role in the #WeatherGenerator project—Europe’s groundbreaking AI-driven climate modeling initiative launched in February 2025.
Currently, we’re in a critical phase, training a large-scale AI model using petabytes of data from radar, satellite imagery, and reanalysis datasets. Our focus is applying this advanced model to renewable energy markets by developing tailored AI layers that improve wind and solar energy forecasts.
This project sets a milestone for weather and climate systems, and we’re proud to contribute with our AI and high-performance computing expertise.
