Murmil Heights & Southside Elementary 1991 - 1993 "Songs From The Children" Tape - El Dorado, AR
The images and audio are from a songbook and cassette tape recorded in the early 90's and published as a collaborative effort between Murmil Heights and Southside Elementary schools in El Dorado, Arkansas.
The songbook features music and lyrics written by children from grades K-5, under the direction and co-authorship of music teacher Jim Warnock. Most of the songs include musical notation and student illustrations. Additionally, each school's official song has also been recorded and documented.
I was a 5th grader at Murmil when this was released, and the illustration for "Against All Odds" was my contribution. The book and cassette have been in my keepsakes for years, but upon digitizing the tape for posterity I decided to add the images as well and make both available to anyone who might be interested.
