It is time to wave 2021 goodbye dear cat heroes! 🦹♀️
Despite the challenges of this truly special year we are very proud to say that Project LUNI was able to help many more cats then in the years before.
Thanks to YOUR support and the limitless effort of over 40 fostering families and over 40 volunteers who all dedicate their time for free we have achieved something I personally would never have dreamed of when I started Project LUNI in 2017!
We have managed to TNR (trap-neuter-return) over 160 cats this year, we have rescued an incredible 400 cats and kittens to bring them to our fostering families and later find them their forever home. Our feeders in Singapore feed over 350 cats daily.
I am especially proud that we were able to help in so many medical cases like Garfield, Snowy, Giggles, Bluebell and many more which rake up vet bills of thousands and thousands of dollars. And I want to thank you personally that you made this possible! 💖
I myself am in the midst of building up LUNI Lombok Indonesia to also help the cats and animals there. There we have registered officially as a charity in November 2021 and are already feeding over 350 cats on the streets daily. Beside that we are building a cat clinic, have vets doing TNR, we are involved in Wildlife rescue and rehabilitation and one of the big goals in 2022 will be to establish drinking water all over the island of Gili Trawangan for the animals (cats, cows, horses, wildlife, goats, etc).
A HUUUGEE THANK YOU MEEEOOWWWW PURRR to all of you super cat heroes!🦹♀️💙
The impact we have together is huge and it makes all the difference to street cats.
To everyone who is a part of this great effort as well as your families and friends, we wish you a happy new year 2022! The new year is a blank page and we have the pen in our hands. Let's create more beautiful stories for the brave and wonderful street cats. Together we can do achieve so much!
Cheers!
Nina and the whole Project LUNI Team
Project LUNI focuses on 4 main pillars to help cats & kittens in Singapore:
Fostering, socialising and rehoming of kittens and abandoned cats
Daily responsible feeding of stray and community cats
Medical care for injured and sick street cats
Trap-Neuter-Return (TNR)
At the moment Project LUNI has bills of approximately 30,000 SGD every month and most of it is paid through donations from generous donors. Therefore we are extremely thankful to even the smallest amount to be able to help to feed and rehome cats, treat them at clinics and sterilise them.
