OKAY so first of all about my attempt count, those 8524 are mostly old attempts, i have no idea how many attempts it took me coming back to it but its probably like 2-2.5k. I did some runs on this in 2021 because I wanted to do as many top 20s as I could but I ended up just beating deimos instead.
THEN I actually make an effort to beat it in october last year, get 78 and some other runs past the dual but it annoys me and I also am just bored of GD so thats pretty much it. I did play it some times since then hoping id feel like beating it but i didnt till a few days ago.
This is a good level dont get me wrong but it was so painful to beat because there was this 2.2 bug at the end and the pointercrate fix just created an even worse bug, so I contacted Exen and he fixed it but there was this problem where the fix kinda changed the gameplay in a weird way and I kept dying to it in start pos, So I randomly decided yk what ill just fix the bug in the pointercrate fix and then i legit beat it in 5 attempts after that.
Aside from that I think this is just insanely luck based in a lot of ways and I didnt have the patience for it, if I did id have enjoyed this level a lot because its cool but I didnt, I just feel like when you die in this it almost always feels stupid, the dash orb at 16 is particularly horrible and so is the black orb at 72 and i imagine I died at 70-79 over 20 times. I normally dont agree with calling things luck based because it just feels like blaming the level for your own lack of practice/skill but nah I overpracticed this and still struggled to do that part
Feels good to have this done cause its one of the og top 20s and its nice i did it on 2.2 so i could run it on full detail
