When working with any kind of imagery, whether a photograph of a fully digital illustration, selections are a vital tool to help us create our compositions.
They allow us to isolate areas of the canvas as well as copy or remove elements we want to amend. Selections can be made by a variety of tools, all of them doing so in different ways depending on the selection (or the image itself) we want to make.
