100 Years of Meiji Shrine - Tokyo, Japan
On a Sunday afternoon, I decided to head down to Meiji Shrine in Harajuku because I hadn't been in a while.
After arriving, I saw that it was busier than usual and illuminations were being set up. I'd never seen this before and soon discovered that they were starting the celebrations for the 100 years anniversary of Meiji Shrine.
The shrine stayed open late with illuminations running from sunset and flocks of people coming to celebrate and make their prayers.
It was an unexpected and beautiful evening at Meiji Jingu.
