The temples of Khajuraho, in the state of Madhya Pradesh, are amongst the most beautiful works of art and architecture of medieval India.
Khajuraho today is little more than a village but its ruins spread over 21 sq km, of which the western group has been declared a UNESCO World Heritage Site.
