Hiding a microphone is an important part of a location sound mixer's job, and it often would be nice to be able to get a lapel just that little bit closer to talent.
This stream is going to show you how I've prototyped my own version of a lapel mic mount, inspired by the WireRig by Ursa, from rough design to slightly more refined product.
If you prefer to buy a product that has been thoroughly thought out and tested by pros, please check out the Ursa WireRig - https://ursastraps.com/product/wirerig/
Sorry about the double audio in the full screen screen capture, it looks like I had audio from my mixer, and from my webcam coming through at the same time. I didn't realise until later. This whole livestreaming process is also doubling as a test as I try some things out.
