Icaraíma Case: Accused Arrested then Released! Turnaround
On August 5, 2025, four friends—Robishley Hirnani de Oliveira, Rafael Juliano Marascalchi, Diego Henrique Afonso, and Alencar Gonçalves de Souza—left São José do Rio Preto, São Paulo, for Icaraíma, Paraná, to collect a R$255,000 debt related to the sale of a rural property.
Investigations indicate they were ambushed by the debtors, including Antônio Buscariollo and his son, Paulo Ricardo Costa Buscariollo. They denied any involvement in the debt but are now the prime suspects.
The vehicle used by the victims was found on September 12 buried in a bunker in rural Icaraíma, with blood stains and gunshot wounds.
