How I Made This Door Super Secure!
Handy Danny shows how to install door hardware and a door frame for a quick diy home improvement project. Remember safety first on any construction job. These doors will be looking great soon!
The installation process includes:
Laying out the door to ensure proper positioning of components (0:39).
Drilling pilot holes and using a step bit to open up the door for the panic device (0:50).
Prepping the trim by cutting screws and assembling the cylinder (1:05). This involves cutting the tail piece of the cylinder to the correct length (2:00).
Leveling the trim to ensure it's straight and properly aligned (2:21).
Disassembling the panic device to run a wire through it (2:51).
Attaching the panic device to the door, ensuring it's level and within marked boundaries (4:08).
Reaming out holes to prevent wire fraying when running the EBT (Electronic Bolt Trigger) (5:17).
Installing the closer body cover and kick plate on the door (6:07).
Connecting the EBT wires (7:00).
Splicing wires if necessary to ensure proper length for connection (8:01).
Installing the core into the cylinder using a control key to align everything (9:37).
Tapping the latch to secure it in place (10:07).
