How Wobbuffet BROKE Pokemon
Wobbuffet was introduced in generation 2 of Pokemon, Gold and Silver. In that game it was borderline worthless, but it turned things around in generation 3 in a big way. In Ruby, Sapphire, and Emerald, Wobbuffet actually got BANNED from standard competitive play, because of its new ability. It also had to be restricted in the Uber tier, because it was able to trigger an infinite battle.
