Nightbane Unlock Guide + Kill VoD (Killars)
How to unlock (spawn) Nightbane and the kill vod for my group.
Opening the first door after zoning into the instance starts the initial 8 minute timer. This is a hidden timer and will not display on your buff/debuffs bar.
You must click 5 crystals in order to unlock the Nightbane encounter. After clicking the first crystal you will have a 5 minute buff that will be extended after clicking each other crystal.
1. Opera event: Kill the boss, go down the hallway and up to where the audience of the theater is and click the crystal.
2. Maiden Trash: Clear as you would if you were going to the Maiden encounter. You do not need to kill the boss! Make sure to not kill players who get mind controlled. Avoid over pulling as a mind control can wipe your party.
3. Spider cellar: Head down to where all the spiders are located. No boss here. Kill minimal trash and avoid stepping on webs. Be weary of the smaller spiders' frontal cone ability "Web Spray". You DO NOT need to step on webs to click the crystal. Have one of your members click it by going around on the left side.
4. Moroes: Heading back up the way you came before Maiden trash, kill some of the trash that oversees Moroes' room. Jump down clear the trash in that room and defeat Moroes, clicking the crystal afterwards. Suicide right after clicking the crystal which will spawn you at the entrance.
5. Curator: Clear up and kill Curator and click the crystal. Your're almost there! You should have a new 5 minute buff that allows you to speak to Medivh and start the Nightbane RP event.
Nightbane drops 4 chests that have a special equip (wowhead for more info) as well as some great relics for pretty much every class. It's worth noting saving long cds for the add that spawns in phase 2 as well as lusting/heroism greatly reduces the parties damage taken.
