3v3 TEAM BATTLE | Guilty Gear Strive | Millia Gameplay
AN EXPLANATION OF WHAT'S GOING ON:
1) When you see the blue (or red - depending on if I'm on Team Red or Team Blue) outline around the boarders of the screen, that's me asking to tag in, or tag out to my teammates.. You'll see a small timer in the bottom right corner of the screen. Teammates have that long to accept the tag, if they want to switch places with me. But you have to choose safe moments to tag each other. I just push the tag button when I have a spare moment, so that my teammates can tag in if they see an opportunity.
2) As an Assist character, you can use 1 of three Assist abilities where you jump onto the screen and do a quick attack, or combo. Or you can use one of the 8 Items. You see the Item menu in the middle of the screen, below the clock, when I'm in the Assist position. Using Items and Assist abilities are on short cooldowns. But playing in the Assist position is very active, as you're constantly trying to use Assist abilities and Items to interrupt opponent's combo attempts, or heal your teammate, who is in the Main position.
3) I'm playing from Korea, with a friend who is in North America. So ping isn't the best, but it's usually much better than (normally around 60-70ms and 2 rollback) this when we play together in Strive, SF6, etc. Not sure why it's so wild during the beta.
4) You'll notice things get VERY scrambly when we are low on health. This is because the only thing that can kill a player in the main position, is the other player in the main position. No other damage can actually finish a player off. So, you'll sometimes see 1, or both, Main characters with 1hp, taking damage, but not being knocked out. Assist teammates are usually spamming heal items, and interfering while the 2 players in the Main position are jocking for positioning, trying to finish each other off with that last hit.
