"We will define Out of Plane Maneuvering (OOP) as any time our aircraft’s POM is greater than 45 degrees above or below our opponent’s POM. If we are within 45 degrees of our opponent’s POM, we are considered to be in-plane with our opponent. We also reference OOP Maneuvering relative to the horizon; for example, if we execute an OOP Maneuver, it would be a maneuver that is more than 45 degrees nose-high or nose-low...
If we are in plane with our opponent, nose position determines our Pursuit Curve. If we are out-of-plane from our opponent (more than 45 degree), Lift Vector Placement defines our Pursuit Curve."
