Result of exceptional participation of more than 50 communities, the exhibition Trésors de Banlieues reveals both the artistic wealth of peripheral towns and the incessant activity of elected officials to support, yesterday and today, contemporary creation in all its forms. Painting, sculpture, photography, tapestry, poster, comic strip, architecture..., some 250 works, from the 17th century to the present day, reveal to us a tiny part of the works preserved by the archives, galleries, churches, municipal and departmental museums, allowing us to understand the suburbs in their geographical, historical and social dimensions.
