Western Maryland Scenic Railroad 734 Steam Train in Snow
Western Maryland Scenic Railroad 2-8-0 "Consolidation" #734 thundering up the steep grades from Cumberland, MD to Frostburg. The 734 was built in 1916 for the Lake Superior & Ishpeming Railroad as their #34.
In this video, we watch 734 haul the North Pole Express excursions, which are run annually in November and December. The 734 is joined by GP30 #501 assisting on the rear of the train.
