Tatrapi chaturthoṅkṣastra ślokachatushtyam ॥
Meaning:-
Drama is the best among poems, and among those plays, Abhigyan Shakuntalam is the best, and in Abhigyan Shakuntalam also the fourth act is delightful and in that fourth act too, Shloka Chatushtaya is the best.
Yasyatyadya Shakuntaleti Hridayam Samspprathamutkanthaya

वैक्लव्यं मम तावदीदृष्मिदं स्नेहादरान्यौकस:
Peedyante grahini: kathan nu tanyavishalasadu: khairnavai: ॥
Meaning:-
In the presented verse, the farewell of the daughter has been described poignantly. Sage Kanva is as sad as a householder on the occasion of Shakuntala's departure. Rishi Kashyap says that today Shakuntala will depart, that is why my heart is filled with sorrow, my throat has become blocked from stopping the flowing tears, my vision has become dull due to worry. He says that when the people living in the forest are feeling this kind of sorrow because of their love for me, then how much more the householders must be suffering from the sorrow of separation from their daughter for the first time.
शुश्रुष्ष्व गुरुन कुरु प्रियासकिवृत्तिं सपत्विजने
Bharturviprakritaapi roshanataya maa sm pratipam gamah.
भुयिष्ठं भाव दक्षिना परिजने भाज्येश्वनुतसेकिनी
Yantyevam Grihishipadam Yuvatayo Vama: Kulamyadhya: ॥
Meaning:-
In the presented verse, the daughter has been given ideal education for her parent's home. Sage Kanva advises Shakuntala to serve her teachers, to treat her beloved friends well, not to act against her husband in a fit of anger even when she is insulted, to be very generous to her dependents, not to be proud of her opulence. Women who behave in this way are honored with the status of Grihalakshmi and those who behave contrary to this become a curse for the family.
Paatun Na Pratham Vyavasyati Jalan Yushmaswapiteshu Ya
Naadatte piriyamandanaapi bhavatam snehen ya pallavam.
आद्दे वः कुसुमप्रसूतिसाम्ये यस्या भावत्युत्सवः
Seyam Yaati Shakuntala Patigriham Sarvairanugyaataam ॥
Meaning:-
Shakuntala's tender feelings have been depicted in the presented verse. Kashyap says to the trees of Tapovan that without giving water to you, which was not drinking water earlier. Because of her love for you, she did not pluck your new leaves even though she was a lover of ornaments. Which was celebrated at the time of your flowering. That Shakuntala is now going to her husband's house, all of you please give your approval.

Stvayyasya: Kathampyabandhavkritam snehpravrittin cha tam.
संवर्य प्रतिप्तप्तप्रवक्मिम दारेषु द्रश्य त्व्या
भग्यायत्तमत: परं न खलु तद वच्यां वधुबंधुभी: ॥
Meaning:-
In the presented verse, an ideal message has been sent to the king by sage Kanva. Sage Kanva sends a message to King Dushyanta: "Considering our wealth of restraint, our high lineage, and the unnatural love of Shakuntala's relatives for you, you should treat her with the same respect as all your wives. What happens next is up to fate. We should not tell the bride's relatives." Official Debashis Barman
