MakerSkills Academy is Vocademy's Premier Training Program featuring over a dozen hands on skills in various disciplines. Students commit to a 6 month intensive training schedule in beautiful Riverside, California where they learn the foundation skills of product development from design to prototype to manufacturing.
Each month they are required to present a new product with a "Shark Tank" style presentation in front of business and educational professionals.
Subjects offered include: Welding, Electronics, Woodworking, Sewing, Machining, 3D Printing, Laser Cutting, and Entrepreneurship
Courses are taught by industry experts who offer as great mentors for those wanting to enter the workforce.
Makers Skills Academy students have a 75% job placement.
Graduates state that their favorite part of the training was the ability to explore hundreds of careers that combine skills they learned.
