Have you ever wondered what we use to attach the walls to the foundation? Or what we use to attach the roof to the walls of the house? Metal fasteners, i.e. wood screws, expansion joints, chemical anchors, corners of all kinds, are the indispensable metal elements of a house on a #timber frame. We call them simply, connectors.
The quality of a structure is determined primarily by the quality of the wood, then by the quality of the connectors, and then by the quality of the execution. Of course, accessories such as the waterproofing membrane between the base plate and the house structure must also be taken into account. For this reason, we work with Rothoblaas.
