Having teamed up in 2020 for their disco-tinged single ‘Underground’, legendary French producer Fred Falke and LA’s Zen Freeman have joined forces once again, this time bringing along the one and only Macy Gray for the ride. Their new collaboration ‘Make Me Feel’ is an instant house classic, powered by live bass, retro synthesizers, and nineties drum machines, it nods to turn-of-the-century French house with a straightforward, yet unshakable groove and with Macy’s unmistakable and distinctive vocal stylings making it a match made in dancefloor heaven. This single paves the way for much more to come from Fred and Zen.
“We met Macy years ago whilst DJing at an Oscar party in Hollywood and we became good friends,” says Freeman. “We ended up DJing a few gigs together and quickly realized that she was into house music. We wrote 'Make Me Feel’ over a cup of tea at our studio in LA with some of Fred’s chords as inspiration.”
