Lumination Learning Lab Improving Student Engagement in Geography
Geography class at Grange Primary School looked very different last term, as Year 6 Teacher, Daniel Moyle, worked with Lumination's Naomi Guglielmo to bring the curriculum to life.
Setting out to increase student engagement by using the Lumination Learning Lab, he was successful. In just four weeks, there was a 155% increase in students who agreed it was ‘very true’ that “Geography is fun,” with 96% of students saying they preferred to learn in the Lumination Learning Lab over the classroom.
Using the #VR and #AR technology within the space, the students explored the geographical diversity of Asia, touring historical sites, taking in the natural features of the land and visiting key cultural landmarks.
