Senior Engineer main duties:
Information⬇️
RFIs, NCRs. Gathering all information before construction process begins. Reporting all issues to the client and propose solutions/remedial actions.
Quality control ⬇️
keeping all QA info and completing ITPs (Inspection and test plan), making sure all the process goes as planned and within tolerances.
Material orders ⬇️
drainage, rebar call offs, concrete. All materials needed from waterbar for concrete to Tonnes of steel and concrete.
Temporary works⬇️
making sure all the information is provided and keeping visual inspection of the work to be sure drawings are followed and everything is safe and good to go 😁
RAMS⬇️
these are often on the senior engineer too. Risk assessment and method statement which are task specific and are mandatory for high risk activities.
Management of engineers⬇️
help and support for site and setting out engineers. Making sure all last minute changes are communicated to the team, helping by decision making. Teaching and supporting the team.
