INTALG 5.7: Solving Equations by Factoring
We apply the factoring technique of previous sections to solve polynomial equations, in particular, quadratic equations. We also discuss strategy for word problems, with applications given by the Pythagorean Theorem for right triangles and rectangular area problems.
