In this video, which I've been meaning to finish for a while, follow my saga trying to install the Synology DMS (NAS server) version 7 on an old PC I had here.

First, I tried installing it using the ARPL (Automated Redpill Loader) tool on a PC with an ECS motherboard, but it didn't work: it didn't recognize the network, then it didn't recognize the hard drives, and it wouldn't proceed with the installation. Plus, its configuration and installation were much more complicated.

Then I changed the PC to a Gigabyte motherboard with a 2.5GHz Celeron G540 processor and 4GB of DDR3 memory. This one recognized the network normally, and then I did the installation using Arc-A, an installation loader that did everything automatically. It ran 100%; I only needed to adjust the PC's BIOS, changing the hard drives from IDE to AHCI.

Anyway, I'll bring a more complete video detailing everything later.

I did the installation using this English tutorial (ARC):

I hope this helps!
