Video Notes: I'll present a situation a finance professional encountered.
One table shows the transit costs and supplier discounts per invoice.
Another table lists the purchased items, quantities, and corresponding purchase prices for each invoice.
The challenge is to allocate transit costs and supplier discounts to the purchased items based on the information in the first table. We want to allocate costs per invoice based on the product purchase cost.
Finding a suitable Excel formula for this task is very complicated.
I'll show you how to achieve this easily using Power Query without writing a single formula.
