Origin Code Academy is an immersive coding bootcamp. Anybody that likes to build, it's a great fit.
Anyone that likes problem solving, puzzles, like this could be a great career opportunity. So, one of the key differentiators I think is the fact that we allow students to go at their own pace. I think the other is our staff focuses more on just the core set of competencies in web development.
When you look at the job market in San Diego and the way we're trying to get coverage of the things that San Diego job market wants, but we also really believe in creating the best software classmen and then later on they can go and learn specific technologies that they need more, like mastery for a very specific niche or a field that they want to go into.
The students are able to do everything from building and deploying back in dev ops type tasks to front end design and making sure that their site looks polished and is kinda ready to present to the world. And, there's way more job opportunities out there than there are skilled developers to fill those job roles, so I feel like with the core set of skills that they have, they'll be able to find a good fit in an area that they wanna work in.
For me, it took, ya know, 30 years to get to this point, and for our students if we can get them there in 12 weeks, from when they can intern to marketing, that's a huge win. So the more people I can help through that journey, the better I'm gonna feel.
