Geberit toilet flush leak repair - Villeroy & Boch flush seal replacement 816.418
This video shows the repair of a leak in the reservoir of a toilet flush equipped with a Geberit/Villeroy & Boch mechanism.
The symptom of the leak was a whistling sound and a constant ripple on the surface of the water in the toilet.
After removing the central piston that releases or retains the flush, we noticed that the flush seal was slightly swollen with blisters that affected the system's watertightness.
Fortunately, this seal, part number 816.418, is easily found online for around €5, so don't hesitate to order it for a small DIY repair.
